At the first edition of The Little Prince Awards /2012/ the president of the cosmetic company Refan Bulgaria Mr. Angel Popov was honored with theMost Devoted DonorPrize for his contribution to improving the life of thechildren with autism in Bulgaria. The prize is awarded to a person or an organization, helping with donations in the long runand respondingany timewhen needed.“This prize is a huge incentive for me, because I have never been indifferent to the problems of the children with autism and their difficult social life.It is the best inspiration for me to continue with my charity initiatives.”

Mr. Popov defended his civic position with a series of initiatives, supportinghis noble cause. On September 20th, 2013, after a long way and many efforts,an amendment ofthe Education Act was voted at second reading in the National Assembly, which adopted the combined education for children with special educational needs, allowing the autistic children toattend mainstream schools aimingtheir socialization.
On September 22nd, 2013, on the occasion of the new school year 2013/2014 and as part of the events raising autism awareness of Bulgarian society, the Therapy Fund for Autistic Children, the founders of Step Foundation for Bulgaria's Invisible Children, Tacitus Association and the National Association of Resource Teachers organized
